VANTAGE POINT

The very first time I ever came across the meaning of vantage point was through a movie called "Vantage Point".  I think it was released in 2008, and really made an impression, it had my attention from start to end.... It's based on a plot to kill the President while making his speech in a foreign country. 

The President arrived at the venue where he was expected to give his speech, and as soon as he took the podium for the speech, he was shot dead.... While everyone stood in shock and the Agents started to investigate where the shot came from, then a bomb exploded!!! Chaos followed!  

Something different happens....

The movie goes back to the beginning.
We are left wondering what's next, but
to understand the next part, we had to
wait patiently while eight different characters who were present at this event began sharing their viewpoint points (the local Policeman; the Tourist; the mother and daughter; the Secret Service Agent; the Journalist; the President himself and even one of the terrorist).

The point of the story was that although eight different people attended the same event, each one of them held a different view of that event. And their different views helped the viewer to have a complete‎ "vantage point".   In a nutshell, the vantage point became a clear picture of the true event....  lol, since it's an old movie, am sure it's okay to spoil it with some of the details).

What has this movie got to do with today's blog? Alot actually,as people, we have been given life and we each hold different views of how it is, or what it should be like... Hence we exchange our experiences with each other so we could have a vantage point about it....Some views are great but others not so much.  

Recently my vantage point was severely tested until God opened my mind to understand that irrespective of my vantage point, He holds the best Vantage Point and the good news was I could exchange mine for His!

Today, if your views about a certain area or areas is challenged, don't let it affect your vantage point...But if it has been affected, you can always exchange yours with God's! After all, who has the best views about everything? His Vantage Point is much clearer than any perfect picture one can imagine!

                      Vantage Point: A position that affords a broad overall view or perspective, as of a place or situation.
